Simon’s back in town and Ben is still living abstemiously (well done!).
Plenty of new gems this week, including a big surprise, a 7″ picture disc from Walt Disney Records. This doesn’t make us evil bastards, does it?
Enjoy!
Considering that Simon was away on assignment and Ben is on an ardous, strict and self-imposed journey of alcohol free living, I think we pulled off a pretty good show. Hope you dig it during the week.
I should probably announce the official end to posting the re-streams in Ogg Vorbis. Statistics indicated that .ogg accounted for only 4% of of traffic. There were many good reasons to have it up: it’s open, has great compression/quality and usually slips under the firewall at work etc., so, it may yet be back. Apologies to anyone inconvenienced by this.
For regular listeners of the show, we have a special treat this week!
Stuart Baker, Pete Reilly and MC Oxman were in Perth representing Soul Jazz Records on their Australian tour and were good enough to drop in to the studio before the gig to give us a live-to-air, half-hour set. So, if you weren’t lucky enough to catch them at the Beck’s Music Box, make sure you check out this week’s show!
They also run one of the better record shops in London the world, Sounds of the Universe, which we highly recommend you check out.
Unfortunately, due to all the madness in the studio, the playlist was badly neglected. If you need to know details of a song we played, just ask us!
