On Friday, April the 13th (oooer) 2007, Taylor Dupree’s minimal, experimental and exploratory sounds will hit Perth in glorious (and seldom heard) quadraphonic glory.
He’s playing at WAAPA as part of his April 2007 Australian tour. Here’s a small bit on the man:
Taylor Deupree is a sound artist, graphic designer, and photographer residing in New York. Dupree is the founder of seminal microsound label 12k and its offshoots L-NE and Happy. Alongside his output on 12k, he has released critically acclaimed recordings for labels across the globe including raster-noton, Spekk and Mille Plateaux amongst others.
He’s being supported by two of Perth’s best too, M. Rösner and Stina.
You can get more information from aesoteric and should definitely be worth checking out!
